Feature

A feature is a distinct piece of functionality that delivers value to a user or customer – something the product does. In agile planning a feature is usually larger than a single user story and smaller than an epic, and it is often what stakeholders recognise and ask for by name.

Grouping work into features helps a team plan releases around value and communicate progress in terms users understand. Features are refined over time into the smaller stories that a team delivers within an iteration.
