Risk Enhancement

Enhancing is a response strategy for a positive risk (an opportunity) that aims to increase the probability or the impact of the opportunity – making a good outcome more likely or more valuable, without guaranteeing it.

For example, adding resources to help a task finish early increases the chance of an opportunity paying off. Enhancing is a moderate opportunity strategy, chosen when it is worth improving the odds but not worth the effort of fully exploiting.
